- Obviously avoid it! If you are sensitive, just being near it without even touching it can cause an outbreak. Some have breathing difficulties from just being near this plant. If you are this sensitive, you need to see a homeopath to get to the root of the cause of this sensitivity.
- Find the right remedy that works and your tolerance to it can get stronger
- Most popular remedy is Rhus Tox.
- You can take Rhus Tox in a high potency (200c) before the season starts to help immunize the body against the sensitivity. (Take one dose Every month once a month for three months prior to the spring.)
- If you get poison ivy, sometimes 30c makes it worse. If you stay with a low potency 6x or 30x, the more effective it is on the poison ivy outbreak.
- After 3 doses, if there is no relief (remember – mentally feels better is a good sign) – re-evaluate
- Other natural remedies that will not suppress – Poison Ivy Soap – dries out outbreaks, and salve.
- The biggest thing is not to suppress skin issues and push it back into the body – watch the creams and only use things that are 100% natural. If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin!
