I can hardly believe It! When we recorded this podcast, I totally forgot to include our most of our family’s favorite and most intense service experiences – we raised 2 puppies for The Seeing Eye, Inc. The 2 dogs took a cumulative total of 3 years. We got the dogs when they we about 7 weeks old and had them until they were about a year and a half. We did all of the usual things: housebreaking, basic obedience, health care, etc PLUS we took them everywhere we could to maximize their socialization and exposure to different people and environments. We took them to church, to choir, to classes, to ice rinks, on boats, trains and buses, and took them on dozens of field trips INCLUDING the White House!
