Episode #21 –  On this episode, we’re talking about the legal and practical aspects of homeschooling for military families with guest Natalie Mack, Military Outreach Coordinator for Homeschool Legal Defense Association.

Twenty-two years ago, Natalie and her husband, a Navy chaplain now retired after 34 years of service, began their homeschooling journey. Her successful children, four grown and one currently in high school, prove that homeschooling doesn’t hold kids back. Natalie credits her children’s relationship with Christ and that they love learning for making them so well-grounded.

Natalie shares how she began working for the Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and how her role has evolved over time. She also shares about Natalie Mack, LLC, which provides mentorship to homeschoolers, advocacy for military homeschooling, and homeschool consultations to military-connected educational and DoD organizations.

Also, during the show, Natalie answers some listener questions, including how to homeschool legally as a military family and how HSLDA can help. Additionally, Natalie explains how the Status of Force Agreement (SOFA) gives active-duty military families the ability to homeschool overseas in many countries. You don’t want to miss this special episode!
