4th of July Planner for Kids

Organize a fun and festive 4th of July with our special planner designed just for kids! This planner is perfect for helping little ones get involved in the celebrations, from planning games and activities to choosing their favorite holiday treats. Make this 4th of July memorable and stress-free with a planner that puts kids at the heart of the festivities.

Celebrate Independence Day All Month Long

Enjoy these activities with your children as you celebrate Independence Day, not just on the fourth but throughout July. There’s no need to pack all the fun into one day. Embrace the spirit of red, white, and blue all month long! This approach is especially helpful if you plan to host a 4th of July party. Enjoy the festivities and the company of family and friends, and revisit these activities throughout the month.

When teaching children about historical events like America’s Independence, breaking the information into manageable pieces over several days or weeks can enhance understanding and retention. Consider checking out some library books that explore the history and people behind America’s birthday. It’s a great way to make learning fun and engaging.

Taking your time to enjoy the holiday and integrate learning experiences allows children to reflect on what they’ve learned and to formulate meaningful questions. So, slow down, savor the summer, and perhaps enjoy a few treats from our planner and activity book at the end of your exploration.

Staying organized in a bustling world full of recommendations can be tough. How many times have you had a friend suggest a must-read book or must-see movie, only to forget about it later? Or maybe you’ve saved such recommendations on your phone, only to lose track of where you stored them. We get it, and we’re here to help streamline your organization.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our newest planner, “A Few of My Favorite Things.”

This planner is crafted to suit your organizational needs, ensuring you never miss a beat. Whether it’s books, movies, or websites, this planner is your new go-to resource for keeping track of all the essentials.

For those who are new to our planners, we recommend grabbing the entire set, which will soon be available at MediaAngels.com. I personally love the convenience of having all my planner pages in one place. While I often use digital notes, there’s something reassuring about having a physical copy that won’t disappear with a misplaced click.

This planner is not just about keeping personal reminders; it’s also a great tool for recording gift ideas.

Ever caught yourself forgetting what your child desired for their birthday, even though they mentioned it just last week? Our planner includes a dedicated gift list section for such occasions, perfect for jotting down ideas for friends and family throughout the year.

Feel free to customize your use of the planner—keep the pages that work for you and remove the ones that don’t.

We hope you enjoy this planner as much as we do.

Blessings,
Christina Moss

Ultimate Staycation Planner for Kids

A Production of the Ultimate Homeschool Podcast Network.

staycation and summer fun printable for kids

Summer is a great time to relax, enjoy some downtime, and have a whole lot of fun! Whether you’re going on a vacation or having a staycation at home, there are so many ways to help your family recharge and relax.

 A Staycation? Yep.

With a few hints, your kids will find ways to entertain themselves, especially if they are a little older. It’s important to remember that not every minute has to be filled with an organized craft or activity. Embrace the slower pace and help your children do the same.

Our family loves camping, nature hikes, swimming in the pool, and trips to the beach. You might enjoy these activities too!

Maybe there’s a lake nearby where you can cool off when it gets really hot. Getting outside and enjoying the fresh air is great for everyone. In Florida, it gets quite hot, so our kids enjoy playing outside in the mornings or after an early dinner.

More Staycation Tips

During the middle of the day, when it’s too hot to be outside, you can keep your kids busy with crafts, activities, and indoor adventures. This can help them avoid asking for electronics or watching movies all day long.

If your family allows screen time, you can motivate your kids (especially tweens and teens) by having them complete their chores or a list of activities first. Your list might include:

  • Chores
  • Outdoor time
  • Reading
  • Art or music
  • House or sewing projects
  • Crafts

If your kids complete the items on the list before asking for screen time or if you set a designated time for these activities, it cuts down on them asking you all day long. Even house or sewing projects can bring you closer together as a family.

So, make the most of your summer by balancing fun, relaxation, and a bit of learning. Enjoy the time together and create some wonderful memories! And get those summer memories planned with the Ultimate Staycation Planner for Kids.

  • Lists, Lists, and More Lists: We’ve got you covered with detailed lists for everything you need, from packing to activities.
  • Flying Tips: Give your kids lollipops for takeoff and landing. The sucking helps their ears adjust.
  • Entertainment Hacks: Bring stickers and a notebook to entertain your children, or pack Legos in a plastic container (we found ones at the dollar store).
  • Stay Hydrated: Put a cooler in the back of your van filled with water, juice pouches, soda, or whatever your family prefers to drink. This will help you stay hydrated and save money and time.
  • Special Snacks: Pack a picnic and include something special, like a dessert or a fun snack you don’t usually buy. This keeps the experience special and exciting.
  • Self-Serve Snacks: Use small plastic organizers to keep snacks. Filling each cube with different snacks in small portions gives your kids variety and something fun to eat.
  • Road Trip Essentials: Add a plastic bin with a change of clothes for the kids, a first aid kit, extra diapers, and medicine. This way, you’re prepared for any situation.

Holiday Checklist Advice & Homeschooling

Here is a blog post on Holiday Checklist Countdown

  • My business tagline has been “Making time for things that matter” from the very beginning.
  • Homeschooling and caregiving made me aware of the value of time.
  • My grandmother’s influence: weekly routines, lists, twice-yearly home plan, etc.
  • Tried all the planners  . . . at least once.
  • Tried to be my grandmother . . . but not for long.
  • Lifelong planning plus four boys turned me into a planning realist.
  • Created my own forms, which have become my Peaceful Planning System.
  • The newest item is the oldest and longest used — the weekly planner, a printable, customizable, quarterly planner.
  • Flexibility, the big picture, knowing what matters, and just do the next thing.
  • It all comes back to making time for things that matter and Charlotte Mason’s point that “Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, and a life.”
