Wild Florida-Live Free 2019 Convention

Podcast #69

Suzanne and I walk through the Convention program in this podcast. We look at some of the new events happening this year. We also talk about what parts of the program are very useful to new convention attendees.

I want to invite you to attend the 2019 Annual FPEA Florida Homeschool
Convention. We are celebrating this year with the theme, Wild Florida – Live
Free! Our freedom to explore is intricately aligned with our freedom to homeschool. The Convention is scheduled for May 23-25, 2019, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., a venue that truly embraces Florida’s wild heritage and vintage charm.

We are the biggest and the best Convention for homeschooling families
in the country. There is something for everyone – education, entertainment,
encouragement and great shopping! This year we are excited to bring you
two incredible keynote speakers. Todd Wilson will be greeting us Friday morning with all of the wit and
encouragement the Familyman has to offer. Saturday morning, we’ll welcome Florida’s own Connie Albers who will offer up her special flavor of inspiration to encourage us to embrace our own unique journey.  These are only two from the exciting slate of speakers we have in store for you. Some are familiar faces, but some, like author Melanie Dickerson and the Hip Homeschool Moms, are making their first appearance at our Convention. All of our speakers and each of their sessions have been carefully selected to help us celebrate our freedom to homeschool as we see fit.

Take your time to peruse these offerings as well as the many exciting events for the entire family. Then, log onto www.fpea.com and REGISTER!

Looking Forward to Seeing You There!
Loving Florida – Living Free,
Suzanne Nunn, Chairman

MBFLP – Why Should You Go To A Homeschool Conference?

MBFLP - Should I Go to a Homeschool Conference

This is the season of homeschool conventions – from small, intimate convocations in rural areas, to megaconferences with more attendees than our hometown. They’re the boon and the bane of many homeschoolers’ year. Are they really necessary, with all the information and resources on the Internet? Is there a benefit to the crowds, the travel, the time away from home? You bet!  We’d been to nearly thirty conferences in nine different states before we started doing this for a living … and we can tell you why they’re more than worthwhile – almost indispensable – to us as homeschooling parents!
