 Notes

Linda Rondstandt Song “When Will I be Loved?”

I’ve been cheated, been mistreated
When will I be loved

I’ve been put down, I’ve been pushed ’round
When will I be loved

When I find a new man that I want for mine
Always breaks my heart in two, it happens every time

I’ve been made blue, I’ve been lied to
When will I be loved

The Longing in Our Hearts to be Loved

Where does that longing come from? What kind of love do we long for? We think it is romantic love we long for but we see so many broken marriages.

The Romantic Fairy-Tale: Aunt Matilda, Hollywood, Action Movies, Rom Coms,

Let’s Renew our Mind about Romantic Love. (Romans 12:1-3)

What does the Bible say about Marriage (Genesis 1:27 & Genesis 2:20-25 & Malachi 2:14-16 & Ephesians 5:21-33)?

The Purpose of Marriage: A Team on a Mission from God

If we find the perfect marriage: is that enough?

The One Who Loves Us

Jesus loves us with an everlasting love.

Jesus doesn’t ever get frustrated with us.

Jesus has prepared a beautiful place for us in Heaven.

Jesus doesn’t grow tired of us. He always tells the truth, always forgives, always teaches us, always has our best interest at heart.

Jesus is working all things together for good in our lives. He is working in us to will and to act according to his good purpose.

Men & Woman who Gave up Marriage for the One Who Love Us:

Apostle Paul, met Jesus on the road to Damascus, passionate to reach the Gentiles, died a martyr’s death.

Lottie Moon, Southern belle missionary to China, gave away all her resources to the Chinese when facing plague, famine, and war, Refused to marry a man who didn’t believe in Creation.

Without Jesus

Love fades away. We grow tired of one another. We hurt one another. We are not satisfied because the other person can’t meet all our needs.

When Will I Be Loved?

It is the devil who lies and cheats and misleads us with wrong information and dreams.

When are you loved????? NOW!

How can we prepare for marriage?

  1. Love Jesus first now and always J
  2. Pray for a spouse (James 4 J ) Pray for your partner in the team on a mission
  3. Prepare to be a good husband or wife in practical ways J

Romance Once You’ve Got Kids

It’s Valentine’s Day this week, and for parents with small children, no money for a sitter, and no relatives nearby, the response might be “So what?” It can be discouraging when the world is full of ads urging dinner out, expensive jewelry, and barrels of roses, when your life is more about diapers and phonics, and your budget is more of the dollar menu and less of filet mignon. This episode, we talk about finding romance in real life, wherever it may be – and sometimes, it will surprise you where it can be found!
