What is boldness? It is power over fear. It is being brave and bold enough to stand up for what is right and just. As homeschoolers and as Christians, we are already different in this world. It is important now more than ever to teach our children to take a stand that is counter culture. That isn’t an easy task, and can be quite scary if you have a child that is shy, and not normally bold. This is why I am excited to share with you about this month’s character study.
This month’s subscriber freebie is on the character trait of Boldness.
Being bold can come very easily to some children, and not so easily to others. It is important to teach our children to be bold, yet still be respectful. To be bold without being over the top, and to be bold when you are nervous and shy. To learn to decipher when you need to stand up for something that is important. Some children have no problem being bold. Others would rather be invisible then jump up and make a statement or make themselves known in a tough situation. This is where teaching bravery comes in as well.
It is quite the balance to teach this to different personality types. In this planner there are helpful tips, suggestions and encouragement to teach your children how to practice being bold. I love how Felice breaks down the character trait in easy to understand terms. She always follows it with examples and explanations and gives you practical suggestions and applies them to the entire family. You will love all the extra pages and goal sheets and there are even motivational posters with scriptures to hang in your home.
